Happy 35th

Dean guitars has just recently been celebrating it's 35th anniversary. Ever since it's inception in 1976 just starting out as a small custom guitar company in Chicago, Illinois, Dean Guitars has been on "the cutting edge" with it's technological innovations as well as just the guitar-building industry itself. Dean is the first and only company to broadcast the action at the N.A.M.M. show in Anaheim, California (a large trade show for guitars, drums, basses, keyboards, microphones, amplifiers, etc.) and have been doing it annually for three years now. Dean Guitars/Ddrum is known for having one of the best if not the best booths at N.A.M.M., they even have a concert specifically for this event every year featuring the Dean Guitars/Ddrum artists called the "N.A.M.M. Jam". Dean guitars also has one of the best H.R./artist relations reputations in the industry giving everyone from the "bedroom guitarists" to some of the biggest names in music a "welcome to the family" approach to running the company. so happy 35th birthday to Dean guitars for making some of the finest guitars around and for everyone who is thinking about trying one, go check one out at your local music store and as the slogan says, "get your wings".

Back in The Saddle

Ex-Van Halen singer (original Van Halen vocalist) "Diamond" David Lee Roth has just recently been reunited with the band. After 27 years Van Halen is finally Van Halen again. Prior to this, Roth could be seen working on various solo projects with different artists making records, music videos, touring, etc. The band has just released a new album with Interscope Records entitled A Different Kind Of Truth and have announced their 2012 U.S. tour dates in support of the album. Also on another note, Kool and The Gang will be opening for Van Halen on the tour. The album is available in the form of CD, MP3, and Vinyl. Currently, being that former bassist, Michael Anthony is not with the group, this year's lineup is as close to the original as VH fans have seen in a long time. Other "older" groups that will be putting out new albums this include Rush, ACDC, and The Scorpions with what will be their "last tour/album". Possible Internet Censorship?

"Please don't censor the web!". This picture is about Google's protest against the S.O.P.A. and P.I.P.A. bills. The black bar over the Google symbol signifies the possible censorship these bills may bring.


Some people may be aware of the internet censorship bill or the Stop Online Piracy Act/Protect IP Act which have recently threatened to "censor" the internet. Although these acts may seem to have good intentions being that they are trying to stop the trafficking of "copyrighted intellectual property" as well as counterfeit goods, these potential bills very well may hinder the functionality of the internet. If they are in fact passed, these bills might have an adverse impact on many key features of the internet which allow people to learn, work, and express themselves, etc. A quote about the "S.O.P.A." and "P.I.P.A." bills from Wikipedia.com (a large non-supporter of these bills) says "Opponents say the proposed legislation threatens free speech, innovation, and enables law enforcement to block access to entire internet domains due to infringing material posted on a single blog or webpage." Many large websites such as Google.com and Wikipedia.com have also been seen protesting this bill recently by covering their logos with black "censored bars. In my opinion, if the bill will be passed, the "internet" will no longer be "the internet".

In our recent studies we that found people will like to see OKC Thunder and Miami Heat in the NBA finals.  We believe that it is going to be the Bulls and the Clippers (D. Rose & Carlos Boozer vs. CP3 & Blake Griffin). This will be a good match-up between the NBA's best point guards and power forwards.  Thus people will be betting on this game to see who is going to win the finals.  Personally, we think that the Chicago Bulls will going to take it back to Chi-Town for a 7th time. But, hey we can't predict the future and we need to see what happens throughout the season.
